Description
A bright, clear ruby hue. Classic red berry and forest floor characters. Juicy red currant and pomegranate flavours dominate the entry onto the palate, and develop into a balanced vein of fruit through the mid-palate. The medium weight palate is layered and delicate and fills the mouth.

Vineyard
Warmer climate Pinot Noir typically produces a wine exhibiting more savoury earthy notes and mouthfilling structure. When it's grown in a cooler site in Hawkes Bay, we can capture a lot of the essential elements of good Pinot Noir, silkiness, perfume and complexity.
Vinification
Crushing/Pressing: Destemmed and lightly crushed to open fermenter. Cold soaked on skins for 5 days before ferment.
Fermentation: Wild fermentation, with spontaneous spring malolactic fermentation.
Maturation
Racked to French barriques 24 hours after pressing. 23% new oak.
